InnoStar’s Clean Air Certified PURfect Hybrid-800 Sealants support sustainability goals and can help projects qualify for LEED credits. Our low-solvent formulations are rigorously tested to meet ASTM, MBMA, CDPH, USDA, FDA, U.S. Federal Specifications, and CFIA standards. PURfect Hybrid-800 is an advanced chemically curing formulation that delivers strong, tenacious bonds even under dynamic movement from shock, vibration, and temperature changes. It stands as a top-tier performer in both functionality and environmental compliance.
Polyurethane hybrid sealants are known by many names, including polyether, silane-terminated polymer, modified silane polymer, MS polymer, and STP polyether. While sometimes described as a “mixture” of silicone and polyurethane, hybrid sealants actually represent a unique chemistry—one that generally offers superior performance compared to either of these older technologies.
Hybrid sealants provide excellent adhesion to a wide range of surfaces, often without the need for primers. Unlike silicones, they are paintable and more cost-effective. Both silicones and polyurethanes may still require primers in certain applications. Additionally, polyether sealants are valued for their exceptional weatherability, making them a preferred choice for window installation, general construction, and automotive applications.
